    Casuarina, WA - Service Deli Assistant Part Time

    • Part Time Position Minimum 24 hours per week
    • Rotating roster which will include weekend and starts from 5am or finishing as late as 11pm

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Prepares, packages, and labels meals, entrees, salads, party trays, rotisserie chicken, sliced meats, and cheeses. Prepares take-and-bake pizzas. Stocks and rotates merchandise in the display case. Maintains machinery and equipment. Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers. Follows proper safety procedures and standards. 

    Job Duties/Essential Functions

     

    • Dismantle equipment, wash, rinse and sanitise removable parts, equipment in Deli and Rotisserie rooms
    • Inspect and reassemble equipment, and address any corrective actions from the previous night
    • Re-work display case, filling and rotating merchandise
    • Completes required department paperwork
    • Clean and sanitise work area throughout the day following sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP) guidelines 
    • Complete and comply with 11 commandments of Quality Assurance, food safety certification, department specific training and all safety training required by warehouse, service deli and rotisserie department
    • Comply with health code by following sanitation standards and maintaining proper temperatures
    • Assist with other department of the warehouse as necessary
    • Provide and ensure prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees and vendors
    • Stock and rotate supplies in cooler/freezer
    • Remove rubbish from department and work areas
    • Operates trash compactor and cardboard baler
    • Skewer and load chicken into rotisserie ovens
    • Cook chickens as per SOP’s
    • Package, label and display chicken in hot holding cabinet
    • Adhere to all departments SOP’s
    • Prepares meat, poultry, cold meat, vegetables and seafood as per SOP
    • Assemble platters, pizzas, sushi, salads, raw meats and other items sold in the Service Deli and Rotisserie departments.

    Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery

    • Pressure washer, commercial dishwasher, combination heat/steam oven, warming case, shears, wheeled racks, proofing boxes, ovens, trash compactor, cardboard baler, pallet jack, blast chiller, air hose cleaner, step ladder.

    Qualifications (Costco-specific or industry specific skills that candidates should possess):

    • Education/Training: High School Certificate or higher.
    • Licenses/Certifications: None
    • Experience/Skills: Comparable experience

    Other specific requirements:

    Full COVID-19 vaccination or medical contraindications certificate

    If successful, you will be required to undertake role & department specific training within specified timeframes
